Gigmile Unveils 2025 Impact Report, Announces Completion of Seed Funding Round

Gigmile, the company behind one of Africa’s fastest-growing mobility financing platforms for gig workers, has released its 2025 Impact Report, a detailed look at its economic, social, and sustainability footprint across Nigeria and Ghana. The report comes on the heels of the startup’s recently completed Seed round in Q3 2025, led by a follow-on investment from ENZA Capital, alongside Seedstars International Ventures and the Norrsken Africa Fund.

Founded in 2022 by former Jumia Country Managers Kayode Adeyinka and Samuel Esiri, Gigmile has evolved in just four years from an ambitious idea into a lifeline for thousands of underserved workers. By giving gig workers access to the mobility tools they need to earn a stable income, the company is reshaping what economic empowerment looks like in Africa’s informal workforce.

Across the continent, millions of people working in delivery, ride-hailing, logistics, and other mobility-driven sectors struggle to access income-generating vehicles. Traditional lenders demand collateral, lengthy credit histories, and formal documentation barriers that shut out most workers operating in Africa’s largely informal economy.

Gigmile’s core product, Gamma Mobility, was designed to break that cycle.

Through a streamlined lease-to-own model, gig workers can finance, manage, and eventually own motorcycles, tricycles, cars, and personal commuting vehicles. Affordability is built into the system: daily repayments are capped at one-third of a rider’s expected earnings. Every lease also comes bundled with insurance, maintenance, repairs, and full regulatory documentation, reducing the financial strain that often derails asset ownership.

So far, the company has deployed more than 10,000 vehicles, with 8,500 active riders and 1,500 already completing ownership, an important marker of upward mobility and income resilience.

Gigmile’s growth has been fueled by partnerships with four of the world’s five leading light-vehicle manufacturers Yamaha, TVS, Bajaj, and Hero ensuring riders have durable, high-quality vehicles suited for African terrains and gig work demands.

To date, the startup has raised a combined $21 million in debt and equity funding, strengthening its capacity to deploy thousands more financed vehicles and cementing its position as a leading enabler of mobility leasing in Africa.

Gigmile currently operates in 13 cities across Nigeria and Ghana and plans to expand into more than 15 additional cities over the next year, powered by its growing operations and increasingly sophisticated leasing automation engine.
