Yango Ventures has officially launched a $20 million fund to invest in African startups. The initiative aims to support innovative companies across the continent, providing capital to help them scale and grow.

With this fund, Yango Ventures joins a growing list of investors betting on Africa’s tech ecosystem. The firm plans to back startups with high-growth potential, focusing on sectors that drive economic and technological advancement.

Yango Group, a global tech company, has launched Yango Ventures, a $20 million corporate venture fund aimed at supporting high-potential startups across sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The initiative will provide funding, mentorship, and access to Yango’s extensive network, helping startups scale and drive meaningful impact in their communities.

In Zambia, Yango Ventures is set to fuel local innovation and entrepreneurship by equipping startups with the tools they need to succeed. Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group, emphasized that this fund is about more than just investment—it’s about creating an ecosystem where startups can thrive.

The fund will focus on early-stage startups (Seed to Series B) in O2O (online-to-offline), B2B SaaS, and fintech. While the initial capital is set at $20 million, Yango Ventures plans to expand its funding base in the future to support the growing startup ecosystem. The ultimate goal is to accelerate digitalization and economic development across Africa and other emerging markets.

Backed by a team of experts with experience in mobility, entertainment, fintech, AI, and other industries, Yango Ventures offers more than just capital. Kabanda Chewe, Yango Zambia’s Country Head, highlighted Zambia’s strong entrepreneurial potential and Yango’s commitment to being an active partner rather than just an investor.

Beyond financial backing, Yango Ventures will offer hands-on support, including networking events, mentorship programs, and collaborations with educational institutions. Initiatives like Yango Education, Yango Fellowship, and urban mobility hackathons will ensure that startups receive both funding and the right guidance to grow and scale successfully.

Yango Ventures is a global initiative with a strong local focus. By blending cutting-edge technology, business expertise, and deep community engagement, Yango is paving the way for a new wave of tech-driven innovation and economic growth across Africa and other emerging markets.
