Africa Global Logistics (AGL), previously known as Bolloré Transport & Logistics, has officially launched its “Accelerate” program in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, designed to support African startups in the logistics sector. Six innovative startups were selected for the program’s first cohort, including Eazy Chain from Lomé, founded by Wilfried Dabire. Other participants include PAPS and ALAL from Senegal, APPLOAD from Mozambique, and TAMBOUR and ALIA from Côte d’Ivoire.
The six-month incubation program aims to empower these startups by connecting them with mentors, fostering innovative logistics solutions, and engaging in project sprints to refine their products. Hosted at AGL’s Yiri Innovation Center in Abidjan, the program will feature diagnostics, pilot projects, and continuous follow-up to help accelerate the growth of these promising businesses.
Wilfried Dabire, founder of Eazy Chain, shared his enthusiasm for the opportunity, saying, “Through the [Accelerate] program, we will leverage AGL’s strategic resources and expert coaching to realize this vision and drive sustainable transformation in the African maritime sector.”
Asta-Rosa Cissé, Regional Director of AGL for Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, emphasized that the program is designed to fast-track the growth of startups across Africa while strengthening their role in advancing the digital transformation of the logistics industry.
Eazy Chain, operating under the brand “Togo Cargo,” is poised to expand its operations both within Africa and internationally, thanks to its participation in the Accelerate program. “We chose Togo for our operations because of its favorable business climate, security, and Lomé’s strategic position as a key regional hub,” explained founder Wilfried Dabire.
Dabire also highlighted the company’s flagship project, a feeder vessel service that aims to revolutionize regional shipping. This service will connect Lomé’s deep-water port to Praia in Cape Verde, with stops at essential regional ports. It will streamline the connection between secondary ports and major hubs, reducing logistics costs, shortening transit times, and minimizing load breaks.
Over the next six months, Eazy Chain will work closely with Africa Global Logistics (AGL), leveraging its extensive expertise in logistics across 47 African countries. The focus will be on enhancing ship consignment capabilities, port management, and goods transit processes to improve services and increase competitiveness in the sub-region.
